Lakshman worked as production scientist at Integrated DNA Technologies for close to a decade. His duties consisted of high throughput analysis of synthetic DNA molecules for quality control. He is currently the first full-time employee for HRPVIA and is now overseeing fundraising and pre-pilot preparation activities.His primary interest is strengthening healthcare systems in resource-poor countries through technology transfer and tools for local production.
Sena Akua Dzakuma Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Sena Dzakuma has an MPH from Morehouse School of Medicine with a concentration in Global Health. She has a background in science with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics. Sena has obtained field experience in Maternal and Child Health at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) through Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Public Health in Kumasi, Ghana.
Swarnima Chaudhary Executive Administrator
Swarnima Chaudhary finished her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the.The University of Iowa. She is currently a student at the University of Colorado School of Public Health, earning an MPH with a focus on Global Health Systems, Management & Policy. Her areas of expertise include nonprofit organization communication and Crisis Intervention. Chaudhary’s interest and passion lie in bringing a holistic approach to the diagnostic market in healthcare systems.
Dr. Lily Paemka, Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)
Lilly is a post-doctoral research scholar at the university of Iowa. She is currently working on cystic fibrosis investigating the effects of loss of the CFTR gene on functional aspects of myeloid cells in this disease model. She is also investigating the role of lung epithelia in early CF pathogenesis. Some of Lilly’s other research interests cover cancer genetics, stem cell and gene therapy applications
Dr. Milind Deshpande, Science and Technology Adviser
Dr. Milind Deshpande is the former Technical Director of Fermentation and Downstream Processing at the University of Iowa Center for Bioprocessing and Biocatalysis (CBB). Currently Dr. Deshpande is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. His research interests include developing and optimizing various bioprocesses for scale up and commercial production of various recombinant molecules
Nefertiti A. Puplampu PhD, Business Development Manager
Dr. Puplampu is a faculty member at Webster University, Ghana and runs theNefertitiProject a learning and performance improvement hub, and the JobReady Institute, a skills training NGO based in Africa. Nefertiti has extensive experience in program and project analysis, evaluation and design for international and non-governmental organizations and holds a certificate in project management.
